What should you pay attention to?
ETRTO size is a standard tire size designation developed by the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization. It allows you to easily check if a new tire will fit your bike.
ETRTOis written in a format similar to a postal code – for example:40-622What do these numbers mean?40 mm– is the tire width,622 mm– is the tire's inner diameter, i.e., the size of the rim the tire must fit.
Note: The diameter (second number)must match your current tire – this cannot be changed. However, the width (first number) may vary.– you can choose a narrower or wider tire, as long as it fits the bike frame.
To be sure you're buying the right tire, look for the ETRTO marking on your current tire and choose a new one based on the same code (at least the second number).
This is the easiest and safest way to fit a tire to your bike.
