Surprisingly high-quality product from a no-name China, truly a metal box that will protect the signal from magnetic interference. It also looks like it has gold-plated connectors. In any case, there is no crackling when switching if you have quality cables. It is a big difference from plastic audio switches, which make various crackling noises when switched and even one of the audio channels drops out.
