Traditional Japanese clothing has a history of being loved as a "design that is part of everyday life." Through years of refinement, its functionality and ease of use have established a unique position, even in today's world where there is a wide variety of clothing to choose from. ROCCA is our own brand that creates products that allow more people to experience the "high quality" of traditional Japanese items.
In Kyoto, a popular tourist destination, cute lace kimonos are becoming more common. While there are a wide variety of obi belts to match lace kimonos available for rental, there are few stores where you can purchase them. In response to this real feedback from the town, Tayutafu commissioned Japan's largest obi manufacturer to produce them. Our kimono unit, WA・ST Girl, interviewed customers in tourist areas and carefully selected colors and materials.
This original half-width obi was created through much trial and error to find a pattern that would bring out the beauty of the lace. It goes well with lace kimonos, of course, but also with casual kimonos you already own.
