PLATZ/MONO Dragon 1/35 Tanks of the World 11 WWII Japanese Navy Type 2 Ka-mi Sea-Floating Configuration (Late-Type Floats) Plastic Model MD011
This is a 1/35 scale plastic assembly kit replica of the Type 2 Ka-mi, an amphibious tank developed and operated by the Japanese military during World War II.
It is modeled in its ocean-going configuration with front and rear floats.
The front floats are modeled after the later model, which were split into left and right halves.
Not only are the floats accurately reproduced, but so are the mounting details.
In addition, the observation tower on top of the turret and the ventilation shaft on top of the engine room are also faithfully reproduced.
Slide molds are used extensively for the rear floats and the upper and lower hull, making assembly easy and reliable.
The road wheels and suspension are realistically detailed.
The tracks use a belt system for easy assembly.
The turret is accurately recreated, even down to the barrel base, for a mechanical finish.
The turret hatch and hull ventilation grille hatch can be assembled open or closed.
