Product Introduction

This product was developed as the successor to the GPS unit "O-GPS1" (released in June 2011). Simply attach it to the hot shoe of a compatible Olympus digital SLR camera*1 to record latitude, longitude, altitude, UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), and direction information on captured images. In addition to the US GPS and Japan's "Michibiki," it also supports reception of "GLONASS" and "Galileo" signals. Image data with recorded GPS information can be easily viewed and displayed on a PC, and can also be used to organize images. Furthermore, by linking GPS information with the camera's image stabilization, the camera offers a variety of unique Pentax-exclusive features, including "Astro Tracer," which enables simple celestial tracking, "Line Navigation," and "Electronic Compass."
