Sunny Day Service releases their 8th album in 10 years!
Sunny Day Service, who miraculously reunited in July 2008, is officially restarting their activities.
Since their reunion, they have mainly focused on live performances, including appearances at festivals, but finally, the long-awaited release of their new album has been decided.
This is their first original album in 10 years.
Furthermore, the release date, April 21st, marks the 15th anniversary of the release of their debut album, "Wakamonotachi" (Young People).
The Sunny Day Service sound, which vividly weaves stories of young people and lovers unfolding on the horizon of the city with its transparent melodies and lyrical lyrics, is revived!!!
Even in this new album, their unique style skillfully depicts the cityscape wandering between sparkle and transience.
Just like 10 years ago. And today, too. A transparent melody that colors the lovers' lives.
The slightly more mature "young people" embark on a journey once again to paint the city's landscape.
About the Artist
A rock band consisting of Keiichi Sogabe (vocals, guitar), Takashi Tanaka (bass), and Harushige Maruyama (drums).
They made their album debut in 1995 with "Young People." Since then, they have vividly depicted the stories of lovers and young people standing in the city with transparent melodies.
With their unique presence, they have captivated many listeners, and as one of the representative bands of the 90s, they continue to influence not only listeners but also many musicians.
They released 7 albums and 14 singles before disbanding in 2000, much to the regret of their fans.
In July 2008, they miraculously reunited. Since then, they have resumed their activities, primarily through live performances, including appearances at RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2008 in EZO and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '09.
And now, their long-awaited original album, their first in 10 years, will be released on April 21st.
