This BASARO life jacket is designed in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Regardless of whether it's a manual or automatic inflation type, this life jacket comes standard with an emergency inflation cord. It boasts exceptional buoyancy, approximately 1.5 times that of the type-approved standard; while the type-approved standard has a buoyancy of 7.5 kg, this life jacket has a buoyancy of 11.0 kg. This buoyancy provides enough power to lift an object equivalent to 110 kg on land out of the water. To prevent incorrect wear, the BASARO logo is printed to indicate the correct orientation, and the D-ring belt strap is sewn on to ensure proper fit. The float uses a highly visible porous urethane coating, making it very visible in light and aiding in the early detection of the wearer in emergencies.
The reflector uses a flexible plastic film and employs a sealed lens type reflector sheet, similar to those used in fishing. The float is designed in a ring shape for easy handling by anyone once inflated. This makes it a very safe life jacket float, even in emergency situations where panic may arise. The float is attached with a string to a Ranger Whistle, which produces a loud sound even when wet. This whistle has a maximum volume of 108 dB. The float also features an air intake that can be filled by mouth, which is useful if the life jacket float is not fully inflated. The above features comply with the rules set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

This model also features high-brightness reflection, useful for nighttime use. This life jacket incorporates reflective features essential for life vests, designed for nighttime use. The life jacket itself utilizes our newly developed high-brightness reflective ribbon in all colors. This reflective ribbon is designed to reflect light brightly even with minimal light exposure, making it ideal for nighttime use. This feature makes it easier to locate fishing partners during night fishing trips and clearly communicates your own location to others. This is a BASARO original feature born from incidents of people falling into the water after coming into contact with others at night.
Attention to detail in the life jacket inflation cylinder unit. To inflate the life jacket even 0.1 seconds faster in an emergency, we have made the cylinder unit through which the highly compressed gas passes during inflation smaller and lighter. By making it approximately 15% smaller and lighter than conventional products and those of other companies, this life jacket inflates faster than those of other companies. In addition, by making the cylinder unit of the life jacket smaller and lighter, the discomfort of the cylinder pressing against the waist when wearing the life jacket is reduced, and the stress of wearing it is greatly reduced. This newly developed small cylinder unit for life jackets is incorporated into all types of BASARO life jackets.
