■ The classic strings for jazz guitarists, 'XL Chromes Flat Wound'

XL Chromes Flat Wound strings feature a special construction where a winding of base string (hex core wire) is applied around a core, and then a flat ribbon-shaped winding is wrapped on top. After winding, the strings are finished with a three-stage polishing process to ensure uniform thickness. Flat Wound strings have almost no surface irregularities, which nearly eliminates finger noise. In terms of sound, compared to round wound strings with sustain, flat wound strings have less tonal extension and produce a soft, mellow, and sweet sound.
