Product Description
The tote bag is fashion's most democratic object — carried by everyone, noticed by anyone with an eye. The Matin Kim × Daniel Oh Artist Project Eco Bag takes that familiar form and turns it into something worth looking at twice: a 100% cotton tote printed with Daniel Oh's painting-based artwork, selected by Matin Kim as part of the label's ongoing Artist Project series — a programme dedicated to bringing independent creative voices directly onto wearable objects.
Daniel Oh's work operates in the territory where painting meets everyday image-making: expressive, gestural, and immediately felt rather than slowly decoded. The print occupies the bag's face with the confidence of a work that knows it doesn't need to explain itself. The result is a tote that functions as both a practical daily carrier and a small, portable statement about the kind of culture you choose to carry with you.
The bag itself is straightforwardly well-made: pure cotton construction, a generous 36 × 36cm square format that sits open and accessible, and a 31cm strap drop that works equally well hand-carried or over the shoulder. At this scale and weight, it is the kind of bag that ends up used daily — for the market, the studio, the commute, or the weekend — rather than saved for occasions.
Two colourways give the same artwork two entirely different readings. White renders the print with maximum clarity and brightness, every detail of the artwork landing against a clean ground. Black inverts the relationship, giving the print a more graphic, higher-contrast presence that reads as deliberately considered. Both are produced in Korea as of June 2026, part of the same Artist Project launch that also includes the Stefan Meier Artwork Top — two artists, one collaborative moment.
Matin Kim is one of South Korea's most internationally recognised contemporary labels, with a project history that includes collaborations with a variety of famous brands and New Era. The Artist Project series represents the label at its most curatorial — selecting independent creative voices and giving them a platform that reaches well beyond the gallery wall.

Style Notes
White works best as a contrast piece — carried against darker outfits where the artwork print reads with full clarity, or as part of an all-white or tonal look where it adds texture without disruption. Black is the stronger graphic option: the artwork gains intensity against the dark ground and holds its own against bolder, more colourful dressing. Both colourways pair naturally with the Matin Kim × Stefan Meier Artwork Top from the same Artist Project series for a coordinated art-forward look. As a tote, the square format and wide opening make it genuinely practical — generous enough for a full day's carry, light enough to forget it's there.
