Brand Introduction For 110 years since its founding in 1905, Red Wing has continued to produce durable shoes with traditional craftsmanship in its own factory. Founder Charles Beckman immigrated from Germany with dreams of a new life. He got off the train in Red Wing City, Minnesota, and after working in a tannery, he started a shoe shop. However, dissatisfied with the quality of ready-made shoes, he decided to make his own shoes, wanting to sell "only truly good shoes." This was the birth of the Red Wing Shoe Company. Today, it has acquired a tannery and has become a rare shoe manufacturer in the world that makes its own leather for shoes. The founder's spirit lives on today.
