Its natural habitat is found throughout South Asia, and it is now cultivated worldwide (in subtropical climates). Oil constitutes up to 50% of the fruit's content (in the green-leafed variety). We offer unrefined, cold-pressed oil. Action. One of the most underrated, or perhaps better yet, unknown (at least in our country) vegetable oils. It has a very high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids (including alpha-linolenic acid and Omega 3), and also contains significant amounts of flavonoids, rosmarinic acid, and other phenolic compounds. All these compounds have a beneficial effect on the skin, have strong antioxidant and antiseptic properties, strengthen the walls of blood vessels, inhibit the growth of bacteria responsible for acne. The compounds contained in the oil act as a natural catalyst, stimulating the production of many enzymes in the skin, which translates into its elasticity and firmness. Perilla oil combats fat metabolism disorders related to a lack of unsaturated fatty acids, inhibits degenerative changes and keratinization of the sebaceous glands. Finally, it's impossible not to mention its typically medical properties: perilla oil soothes atopic eczema and accelerates wound healing. All these properties of the oil predispose it to cosmetic applications for many skin types, from dry and atopic skin, through mature skin, to skin affected by acne.
