This sake carafe and cup set is made from 100% pure tin, crafted in Takaoka, a region renowned for its traditional crafts.
It is said that drinking sake from tin vessels makes the taste smoother and more delicious.
100% pure tin is soft, so it can be bent with a little force, allowing you to enjoy creating your preferred shape.
It also has the property of absorbing impurities, making it less likely for water to spoil.
These pieces are manufactured by Nousaku, a Takaoka foundry, using the traditional sand casting method, with most of the process done by hand.
They are recommended for use at celebratory occasions or as gifts.
Size: Sake carafe - medium, approx. 180cc x 1; Sake cup, approx. 78ml, 1 tin cup
This is a very popular product, carefully crafted by artisans at Nousaku, a leading traditional Japanese craft brand.
After use, please wash with a soft sponge and a neutral dish soap. If the shine starts to dull, use baking soda. Also, since tin (100%) is soft, do not scrub it with a hard brush or similar object, as this may scratch the surface. Because of its low melting point, do not place it near open flames. As it is a metal, it cannot be used in a microwave oven. Do not use a dishwasher or dryer, as it may become very hot.
Do not put it in the freezer, as low temperatures may cause the tin to deteriorate. Also, avoid storing it in the refrigerator for extended periods. Furthermore, do not leave highly acidic or darkly colored foods in it for extended periods, as this may cause discoloration.
