The Yamaha YFL-212 is a standard student flute built for reliable, easy playability from the first lesson onward. It features a CY headjoint with a double flare taper and a specially undercut embouchure hole, giving the flute excellent response and a rich, warm tone. The lip plate is shaped to help beginners develop proper breath control and embouchure.
The YFL-212 uses closed (covered) keys with an offset-G configuration, both of which make the instrument easier and more comfortable to handle for developing players, along with a Split-E mechanism that improves response and stability when playing the often-tricky high E. The headjoint and lip plate are made of nickel silver, and thickened key posts along with pointed key arms contribute to long-term reliability and a refined look. Improved pads offer longer-lasting stability over time.
