[Product Description]
The latest addition to the "Mt. Fuji Glass" series, handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans, is the Mt. Fuji Mini Sakura Rock Glass, featuring beautiful falling cherry blossom petals. The Mt. Fuji Mini Sakura Rock Glass is a new, smaller size of our popular "Mt. Fuji Glass" series, which is highly acclaimed both in Japan and overseas. While it is a smaller, adorable version of our classic glass, the majestic Mt. Fuji is designed at the bottom using the techniques of master glassmakers. It retains a sense of weight and substance while being easy to hold, making it a perfect size for women and the elderly to enjoy.
Every Mt. Fuji Glass is meticulously handcrafted, from cutting to polishing. The Mt. Fuji at the bottom of the glass is designed to be as realistic as possible; the sandblasted surface of the mountain reflects the color of the drink poured into it, creating a beautiful display. Please enjoy the ever-changing beauty of Mt. Fuji.
[About Tajima Glass]
Tajima Glass Co., Ltd. was founded in 1956 by Matsutaro Tajima as a glassware manufacturing factory in Koto-ku, Tokyo. In 1962, the company established its current factory in Matsue, Edogawa-ku. For over half a century, the company has been producing commercial tumblers, wine glasses, and other glass products, each carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans in line with the trends of the times. Leveraging their deep knowledge of glass materials, long-standing product development capabilities, and technical expertise, they continue to pass on the charm and culture of Japanese handmade glass to the future.
The company contributes to various manufacturing projects, including the supply of glass blanks to designers and other workshops, and was awarded the 3rd Tokyo Challenge Award. Tajima Glass products won the Grand Prix and the Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner's Award at the 2015 Souvenir Grand Prix and are designated as a traditional craft of Tokyo under the name "Edo Glass."
"Edo Glass" is handmade by artisans who have inherited glassmaking methods from the Edo period. Unlike mass-produced machine-made items, every product is handcrafted from cutting to polishing, making each piece a unique original characterized by the depth, flavor, and high design quality that only handmade items can offer. "Edo Glass" was designated as a Tokyo traditional craft in 2002 and a national traditional craft by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2014. Since ancient times, Mt. Fuji has been a sacred mountain and an object of worship, and its grand and graceful appearance is widely known overseas as a symbol of Japan.
In addition to enjoying a blissful moment yourself with this glass, it is also perfect as a gift for loved ones or those who enjoy alcohol, as well as for celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, 60th birthdays (Kanreki), Father's Day, Mother's Day, or as a souvenir from Japan.
