AKG C104 – Cardioid Condenser Microphone for Stage and Recording
Sound That Hits the Spot
AKG C104 is a condenser microphone designed for Stage / Performance applications, where clarity, natural tone, and reliable performance are key. The frequency response of 20–20,000 Hz captures the full spectrum of voices and instruments, while the sensitivity of -37.5 dB supports detailed reception of even subtle nuances. In practice, this means a sound that cuts through the mix without aggression, while maintaining musicality and control.
Cardioid and high SPL – control on a loud stage
Thanks to its cardioid pattern, the AKG C104 focuses on what's most important in front of the capsule, helping to reduce unwanted ambient noise. This is a real advantage in live settings when monitors, amplifiers, and drums are nearby. The microphone also handles high source energy, offering a maximum SPL of 143 dB, while maintaining signal purity thanks to an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The 200 Ω impedance facilitates stable operation with typical audio lines.
Professional power supply and compact form
Wired connection and the mini XLR (3-pin) interface ensure reliability in stage and studio work, and the required 48V phantom power provides the right conditions for condenser technology. The silver design is compact, with dimensions of 158 mm in length, 47 mm in width, and 35 mm in height, and weighing 375 g, which allows for convenient placement in various configurations. The device operates in a temperature range from -5°C to 50°C, and the set includes a microphone; As a safety precaution, do not open the device casing.
