This technique is said to have spread from Nambu ironware. The oxide film protects the metal from corrosion, making it less likely to rust even when in contact with water. • The boiled water contains iron. • A detailed instruction booklet from Oigen is included, which includes information on how to care for the kettle and how to treat it before use.
