The Venova features a unique design with a branched cylindrical tube (Note 1) and a serpentine shape. The branched tube structure allows the acoustic characteristics of conical wind instruments such as saxophones to be achieved with a cylindrical tube, resulting in a rich tone despite its compact body size. The serpentine shape of the tube narrows the gaps between the tone holes, making them easier to cover with the fingers, and allows for a simple structure with fewer keys (parts to cover the tone holes). As a result, it has easy fingerings similar to a recorder, making it easy for even beginners to play. Furthermore, it has the authentic feel of a wind instrument that uses a mouthpiece and reed (Note 2) to produce sound, and a two-octave range, making it an instrument that will satisfy not only beginners but also experienced players.
