Anandi, the beloved daughter of North Indian classical music slide guitarist Devashish Bhattacharya, who has been known worldwide since the mid-2000s, has made a spectacular debut as a vocalist from the popular British label “Riverboat”! In addition to convocations by his father centered around classical music ragas, he showed off a wide range of musicality that is not bound by the framework of classical music, such as those that take up Rajasthan and Bengali folk songs, poems by Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore who won the Nobel Prize in Literature, and even original numbers by young Spanish musician Corolla Ortiz.
