Product Introduction
FineMolds 1/72 Jet Aircraft Series Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-104J Fighter "Combat Competition" Plastic Model Kit FX07
The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) held combat competitions with the aim of improving the skills of not only fighter pilots but also air traffic controllers and other personnel.
In the 1980s, as inter-air combat training with the F-4EJ intensified, many F-104s with "special paint schemes" that went beyond the standard camouflage appeared.
Their unique appearances captured the hearts of aviation enthusiasts.
This kit includes markings to recreate the "202nd Squadron" that participated in the 1980 combat competition and the "207th Squadron" that participated in 1984.
In particular, the aircraft of the 202nd Squadron featured a unique paint scheme similar to the "maritime camouflage" later adopted on the F-2, making them stand out.
With completely new molds, the fuselage adopts a panel line-based design.
In addition to ease of assembly, we aimed for a precise finish.
The razor-sharp wings and air intakes are molded to be extremely thin, recreating the appearance of the actual aircraft.
