Like the popular Carbon Light Handle for compact spinning reels, the handle arm is made from TORAYCAT1100G carbon fiber! The resin that acts as the adhesive holding the carbon material together is made using Toray Industries' Nanoalloy Technology. The result is high strength and a high modulus of elasticity. Furthermore, by utilizing DAIWA's carbon technology and custom design, the handle shape feels natural when switching from a conventional aluminum handle. The aluminum is also made from ultra-super duralumin, providing strength equal to or greater than that of an aluminum handle.

The lighter handle weight reduces inertia, making it easier to feel the weight of the reel once you start reeling. However, by optimally adjusting the handle length by 2mm longer than the standard handle (1mm longer on each side), we've achieved a reeling feel that's as light as possible, while still maintaining a consistent feel with a standard handle length. While the 90mm aluminum double handle weighs 20g, the carbon light double handle weighs approximately 13g. The weight saving of approximately 7g is a specification that offers noticeable benefits in all aspects, such as increased sensitivity and improved operability.
