[Story]
"The world began to take on color from the day I met you."
Kousei Arima (Kento Yamazaki), a genius pianist known for his flawless, unparalleled accuracy and the "human metronome," lost his ability to play the piano after his mother's death.
One day in April, during his second year of high school, Kousei is invited by his childhood friends Tsubaki Sawabe (Anna Ishii) and Ryota Watari (Taishi Nakagawa) to meet violinist Kaori Miyazono (Suzu Hirose).
Feisty, free-spirited, and as elusive as a cloud in the sky, Kaori's free-spirited, rich, and joyful playing draws Kousei in.
Kaori's forceful invitation leads Kousei to once again confront the piano and his "memories of his mother."
Kousei's time has finally begun to move forward.
However, Kaori's body is seriously ill...
