The protagonist, Nakamori Taiga, is an idol otaku who works at a curry restaurant in Akihabara. His favorite idol is the underground idol group "Kemonomichi Girlish Square," which is active mainly in Akihabara! He is determined to take these young girls, who are still just starting out, to the Budokan one day... With this noble goal in mind, he spends his days fulfilling his otaku activities with a select few (?) of his comrades. One day, Taiga happens to witness the girls' late-night lesson in Akihabara. As he sneaks in with a fan's mentality, he sees them transform into their usual sparkling costumes, clad in light. Suddenly, mysterious magical creatures appear, floating in the air. That's right! Their stage costumes are actually magical girl costumes, and they are both idols and magical girls! As expected, he is found out for peeping, and is chased and nearly killed by magical creatures, but they reveal to him that "in order to save the magical world we live in, we need the energy of humans, and that is why we are asking these girls, who are aspiring to become idols, to help us." However, Kemonomichi Girlish Square is still an idol group that has yet to make a name for itself. Almost against his will, Taiga ends up joining the group as their producer and manager. Thus begins the (planned) success story of a magical girl idol, full of slapstick moments! It starts with a roar and a bang.
