Mung Beans for Sprouting (250 g) are one of the most popular choices for home-grown sprouts thanks to their mild, fresh taste and satisfying crunch, often compared to young green peas. They are an excellent addition to Asian-style dishes (including curry-based recipes), and work equally well in salads, noodle and rice meals, casseroles, and vegetable dishes—served raw or lightly sautéed, hot or cold.
Mung bean sprouts are valued for their nutritional profile: they provide easily digestible protein (approx. 25%) as well as a wide range of naturally occurring vitamins (including E and B-group vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, B6) and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, zinc, iodine, manganese, selenium, and copper. As part of a balanced diet, mung sprouts are also associated with supporting healthy cholesterol levels.
Product details: 100% mung bean seeds for sprouting; soaking time 10–12 hours; sprouting time 2–4 days; recommended methods: sprouter, jar, or sprouting bag; consumption: raw or lightly cooked; packaging: resealable doypack pouch with zip closure for freshness and convenient storage.
How to sprout at home: rinse the seeds, then soak in lukewarm boiled water for 10–12 hours. Drain and rinse again. Keep the seeds in a sprouter or in a scalded jar covered with gauze/mesh in a warm (18–22°C), shaded place. Rinse with water twice daily. Sprouts are typically ready after 3–4 days, when they reach about 1–2 cm in length.
