Mung Bean Seeds for Sprouting (100 g) are one of the most popular choices for home-grown sprouts thanks to their mild, fresh taste and pleasant crunch, reminiscent of young green peas. They are perfect for everyday use in the kitchen and pair especially well with Asian-inspired dishes, including curry-based recipes. Add them to salads, noodles, rice dishes, vegetable bakes, and stir-fries—enjoy them both cold and warm (raw or lightly sautéed).
Mung bean sprouts are valued for their nutritional profile: they provide easily digestible protein and are a natural source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins E and B-group (B1, B2, B3, B6), as well as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, zinc, iodine, manganese, selenium, and copper. Regularly included in a balanced diet, mung bean sprouts may also support healthy cholesterol levels.
Sprouting instructions:
Rinse the seeds thoroughly. Soak for 10–12 hours in cooled boiled water, then drain and rinse. Grow in a sprouting jar, sprouting bag, or sprouter. Keep in a warm, shaded place (approx. 18–22°C) and rinse twice daily. Sprouts are typically ready in 2–4 days and are best eaten when they reach about 1–2 cm in length.
