◆Characteristics of NGK spark plugs

● This is an ultra-wide range plug. The center electrode has a ``copper core'' structure, with copper sealed near the tip to quickly dissipate a large amount of heat. This creates an ultra-wide range plug that is resistant to burning and smoldering.

● New Ceramics' high alumina porcelain is used as the insulator. - Excellent insulation at high temperatures and ensures sparking. - Excellent thermal conductivity and prevents overcooking. - Resistant to thermal shock (rapid heating/cooling) and has excellent mechanical strength.

● Strong structure and excellent airtightness. The insulator and main metal fittings are bonded using special powder, providing excellent airtightness and structural strength.

● Excellent durability. Uses special nickel alloy electrodes for excellent durability.

● Corrugations (folds) in the insulator ensure insulation and prevent flashover. During sparking, high voltage is constantly applied between the terminal and the metal shell. The high voltage will try to leak along the insulator surface, making flashover more likely to occur if the voltage required across the spark gap is high. To prevent flashover, insulator corrugations (folds) are provided. By increasing the distance between the insulator surface between the terminal and the main metal fitting, insulation can be ensured and flashover can be prevented.
