X JAPAN
A Japanese rock band. As of 2015, the band's members were YOSHIKI (drums, piano), Toshl (vocals), PATA (guitar), HEATH (bass), SUGIZO (guitar, violin), HIDE (died in 1998), and TAIJI (died in 2011). Formed in 1982, centered around YOSHIKI and Toshl, the band made its major debut in 1989 under the name "X" and changed its name to "X JAPAN" in 1992.
The band released numerous hits, including "Kurenai," "ENDLESS RAIN," "Tears," and "Forever Love," before disbanding in 1997. Since reuniting in 2007, the band has primarily performed overseas.
