[Sound Design Based on Acoustic Engineering and Psychology] The sound quality was designed based on the latest research findings in acoustic engineering and psychology. Using the common sound design technique of creating a sharp peak in the high frequencies and emphasizing certain parts may give a vivid impression at first listen, but that peak can mask the surrounding frequency ranges, making them difficult to hear. In the E series, the frequency response curve is smoothed overall, so no masking occurs and high resolution is achieved. Compared to the E3000/E2000, it has a purer, more delicate sound with less coloration. *The sound pressure is kept low in order to enhance resolution across all frequency ranges. [The Acoustic Chamber: The Key to Low-Frequency Tuning] The internal housing on the back of the driver unit contains an acoustic resistor that controls the characteristics of the mid-low frequencies, which determine the core of the sound quality. Beyond that is an L-shaped space, which is the key to tuning and achieves both volume and clarity in the bass.
[MMCX Connector + Original High-Purity OFC Silver-Coated Cable] The MMCX connector is a high-precision, in-house developed product. The high-purity OFC silver-coated cable, which expands the sound field, is a joint development with Junkosha, a company renowned for developing and manufacturing cables for the supercomputer "Kei," which pursued high signal transmission speed. For the insulation coating, Junkosha uses PFA fluoropolymer, a material with the lowest dielectric constant, and in which they have extensive know-how under the Junflon brand. PVC is used for the outer sheath to enhance flexibility. This achieves surprising flexibility, making it extremely easy to use and less prone to touch noise. Furthermore, the MMCX plug and 3.5mm mini-plug sections, which are prone to breakage, are designed to withstand bending tests of over 50,000 times, whereas normally they would pass after about 5,000 bending cycles.
