Nike Air Foamposite Pro 'Hyper Cobalt' (Unisex) hyper cobalt / hyper cobalt-black Basketball Shoes 624041 403

1997 marked a period of transformation for Nike. As Michael aged and his playing style grew increasingly steady, highlight-reel moments became less frequent. In response, Nike selected Anfernee 'Penny' Hardaway—renowned for his explosive playing style and widely regarded as heir apparent—as its new flagship endorser. The Nike Air Foamposite One was subsequently launched, earning the affectionate nickname 'Pen' (pronounced 'pēn') among Chinese basketball fans. Designer Eric Avar incorporated cutting-edge footwear technology available at the time: an upgraded dual-layer Zoom Air cushioning system and an extensive carbon fiber plate, delivering exceptional responsiveness and comfort. The upper featured Foamposite—one-piece molded construction—which not only offered a striking appearance and metallic aesthetic but also enhanced fit and support, thereby improving overall shoe stability. The Foamposite One is widely considered one of the most visually stunning sneakers in Nike's history.
